I had my first two children in a neighbourhood where family drop in programs for parents of preschoolers was easy to come by. I believe there is a need for something like this on the Westside. Storytime at the library is great, and sometimes taking three preschoolers swimming is alot of fun..some days...well, not so much. Now that the weather is warming i think it is a necessity to be out enjoying the great parks and great weather that our communites have to offer. I believe in active children and happy parents. I believe that when you connect with other parents your life becomes fuller.
Through out the spring i will be running a drop in and testing the waters to see if anyone is interested. Please send any ideas of anything you would like to see and if there is a time and day that would be more suited for you. The more families that can come out the better.
June 17th, 2009...9:30 am Corner of Elliot Rd and Bering road. Just one big block before Cooper's shopping plaza. this will be the final playgroup until the fall as my big kids are out for summer vacation.
